Reading Camp Harford is a summer day camp experience intended for elementary school children who are struggling with reading (no more than one grade level behind), or do not choose to read for pleasure. The reason may be because the child needs some individual attention to reinforce and practice good reading skills. It may be a dislike of reading that could be overcome with fun and engaging experiences centered around reading.
Children who are entering second grade through entering fifth grade in the next school year are eligible to attend.
Campers receive breakfast, lunch and two snacks per day, a string bag filled with school supplies, summer fun toys and snacks, books to take home and keep and summer reading practice mixed with good, wholesome fun!
