Adult Christian Education Opportunities

Theology is already deeply embedded in our worship; through the education program we offer a means to bring people more deeply into the Christian faith. The program offers a variety of courses with special emphasis on the biblical doctrine of God and the meaning of being human.

The Adult Education (Rector's Forum) program at Saint Mary's Church offers sound Christian teaching presented with intellectual vigor, teaching that is grounded in Holy Scripture, mediated by the catholic tradition that is the inheritance of Anglicanism and set forth in the Book of Common Prayer.

Sacramental Life: Spiritual Formation Through the Book of Common Prayer by David deSilva.

Books for this series are $10.

In these pages, he offers you a brand new way to use the Book of Common Prayer, that you too might experience new growth, new intimacy with God and a new lens through which to view the world. Focusing on the four sacramental rites of baptism, Eucharist, marriage and burial, deSilva explores each one in depth through the prayers, liturgies and Scripture readings of the Book of Common Prayer, and then adds his own devotional exercises that help you immediately apply what you've reflected on.
